Second training course

The second SeaDataNet II training course took place at the IOC Project Office for IODE in Ostend, Belgium, from May 20 to 22, 2014. This session was co–organized by IOC-IODE and RBINS/BMDC and welcomed 9 lecturers and 31 trainees. The vast majority of the SeaDataNet II partners were represented.

The full range of SeaDataNet standards, tools and software has been covered, with special focus on its updates and improvements. The first day covered the SeaDataNet data discovery and “shopping” system: CDI’s, Download manager, and the SeaDataNet II helpdesk and support system. The second day covered visualisation tools and monitoring services as well as Biological data. The last day covered the use of NetCDF and controlled vocabularies.
